petroleum is usually oil-based—which you probably don’t want to put on your skin anyways. Check through the ingredients as I’m not sure though. Look out for glycerin as this can be derived from animals. Honestly, if products contain chemical ingredients I generally say stay clear even if they are vegan—there’s a hell of a lot of nasty asthma and cancer-causing ingredients lurking in them! ;p
i want to start being vegan but my family wouldn't approve of it and think im really stupid im 16 and they still have control of me :/ any ideas
Present to them your reasons for wanting to be vegan, get together a good argument with facts and pictures. Most people don’t like to have their beliefs challenged and you telling them that you want to be vegan they simply see as their own beliefs being challenged—this is at a subconscious level but it’s usually wear the hostility comes from. People can also be very stubborn so be persistent with them and they’ll come around. Maybe see if you can get a job so that you can pay for part of your own groceries? I know lots of vegan companies will send you coupons and vouchers as well if you email them so that may help with the costs. Try being really really nice about it and just show them how much it means to you that they support your decision.
